HOSPITALITY ROOM (American Bank Center – Room 103) Sunday, October 21 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm Monday, October 22 8:30 am to 4:00 pm Tuesday, October 23 8:30 am to 4:00 pm The Corpus Christi Geological Auxiliary welcomes you to the 2007 GCAGS Convention. We look forward to sharing with you the Coastal Art and Gardens of the Sparkling City by the Sea, one of the most beautiful places in the world. Our average high and low temperatures are 80º F and 66º F, with winds around 8 mph and gusts to 20 mph. So grab your hats and enjoy the delightful month of October as our guests.
El Arte, los Jardines, y el Chocolate (Art, Gardens, and Chocolate)

Cost: $40.00 per person – includes lunch
Maximum 30 Join us for a private exclusive tour of the South Texas Institite for the Arts, with its new addition, the William B. and Maureen Miller Building. You will enjoy a short walk through the Water Garden and Xeriscape Area of the Corpus Christi Museum of Science and History on the way to lunch in one of the restored homes in Heritage Park. After lunch a bus will take you for a tour of Villa la Casita, a 1900’s Spanish hacienda where afternoon chocolates and champagne will be served in the courtyard.
Planet Sol Day Spa Monday, October 22nd - 10:00 am to 3:30 pm Cost: $140 per person, includes lunch and gratuity for the staff. Minimum 10, Maximum 10 – Registration required by September 24th 2007 You will have exclusive use and access to the gracious staff at Planet Sol Day Spa for a relaxing day of pampering and beautifying. You will receive a Salt Glow body treatment, Jet shower and 30-minute massage. Then you will have a facial, makeup application, shampoo and blow dry. Finish your pampering with a pedicure and manicure. Lunch and wine are provided. You’ll be refreshed and all aglow for the evening activities!
El tour de los Jardines (The Garden Tours) Tuesday, October 23rd - 9:30 am to 1:30 pm Cost: $35 per person – includes lunch Maximum 30 Take a peek into several different gardens of homes near the Bay Front. After the tour, you will have lunch and some tips from a local master gardener on how to grow herbs.
Sea the Charm of the Texas Coast in Rockport, Texas Tuesday, October 23rd – 9:30 am to 4:00 pm Cost: $55 per person – includes lunch Minimum 30 This unusual little community is an eclectic shopping experience and thriving art center of South Texas. A 45-minute bus trip will take you to a private, exclusive tour of the historic Fulton Mansion, built in 1877. After lunch at Cheryl’s on Fulton Beach Road, you will have opportunity to shop in the delightful shops and art galleries downtown, stopping for an apple dumpling at the Apple Dumpling Deli - if you choose. Bus departs for Corpus Christi around 3 pm.
