GENERAL INFORMATION

All events will be held at the American Bank Center unless otherwise noted.

 

Registration — Lobby

Registration and the information/message center for all attendees will be in the lobby of the American Bank Center.

 

Registration hours will be:

Saturday, October 20 3:00 pm – 6:00 pm

Sunday, October 21 7:00 am – 8:00 pm

Monday, October 22 7:00 am – 5:00 pm

Tuesday, October 23 7:30 am – 1:00 pm

 

Exhibition — Exhibit Hall B

The American Bank Center’s Exhibit Hall B will house nearly 150 exhibit booths, as well as the Prospect Mall and the poster sessions.  Exhibitors will show their products, build and enhance their business relationships, and share ideas and information. The best and most current technology available to our industry will be on display, from all types of geological, geophysical, well data services, and computer software and hardware. Exhibit Hall B will the site of the Icebreaker cocktail party on Sunday, October 21, beginning at 6:00 pm, and the location of the Presidents’ Reception on Monday, October 22, beginning at 4:00 pm.

 

Exhibition hours will be:

Sunday, October 21 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm

Monday, October 22 8:00 am – 5:30 pm

Tuesday, October 23 8:00 am – 1:00 pm

 

Prospect Mall — Exhibit Hall B

The industry has moved toward marketing prospects at “prospect expos” and is revolutionizing the way we find partners and raise capital for exploration and development ventures. A Prospect Mall will be held in the exhibits hall during the exhibit hours for companies and independents to present their prospect ideas to the open market. The oil industry’s hearty appetite for quality prospects will make this an exciting area to display prospects or to visit at the convention.

Prospect Mall hours will be the same as Exhibition hours.

 

Speakers Preparation Room — Room 102

All speakers must check in at the Speakers Preparation Room for final instructions and delivery of their presentation in digital format to the coordinator by 9:00 AM the day of your talk. If you have a morning talk, please deliver your presentation the previous day. Booths will be available for rehearsal and presentation review; speaker and poster ribbons will be available.

 

The Speakers Presentation Room will be open during the following hours:

Sunday, October 21 3:00 pm – 5:00 pm

Monday, October 22 7:30 am – 5:00 pm

Tuesday, October 23 7:30 am – 5:00 pm

 

Speakers and Judges Breakfast — Room 101

All speakers and poster presenters and oral/poster judges should plan to attend the complimentary breakfast on Monday morning from 7:00 am to 8:00 am in the American Bank Center. Instructions will be presented for session timing, introductions, use of audio-visual equipment, and layout of poster booths along with final instructions for judges.

 

Alumni Events

Plan now to meet with former classmates and friends at the GCAGS / GCSSEPM Convention. A sign for participating colleges and universities will be posted in the registration area. To make arrangements for Alumni events please contact:

Note: Due to liability restrictions, children under the age of 13 will not

be allowed in the Exhibition Hall unless confined to a stroller, backpack or frontpack.
